Rascal Flatts is taking an unplanned break from the road.  The group says in a website post that "due to an unforeseen illness" with singer Gary LeVox, they've had to cancel three upcoming shows.

Rascal Flatts will miss Thursday's concert in Nampa, Idaho, Friday's performance in Airway Heights, Washington, and Saturday's appearance at the Rockin' River Music Festival in Mission, British Columbia, Canada. Rascal Flatts' Jay DeMarcus admits it's "incredibly difficult" for the group to decide to cancel a show, because they never want to disappoint their fans.

Ticketholders are being instructed to contact the venues for information on refunds.  Rascal Flatts is on their "Rewind" tour.  The trio is expected to resume their trek with a show in Phoenix, Arizona on August 15th.
