Sleep is precious! Nothing is more annoying than watching the clock while you try to sleep. Doing daily activities can help burn off excess energy and can help ease you to bed but if you are not eating the right things in the evening your sleep can be disrupted.EatThis.comlisted a few things you should avoid eating before bedtime.

Refined carbs are not only bad for weight gain but they can also effect your rest. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition published astudydone in 2020 of more than 77-thousand postmenopausal women. It showed that those whom indulged in high-glycemic index foods, including sugar and refined grains actually had higher rates of insomnia.

If you have ever eaten spicy foods you know how that can leave your stomach feeling. Astudypublished at National Library of Medicine, observed people who ate Tabasco sauce and/or mustard at dinner. Those whom consumed either condiment took longer to fall asleep than those who didn't and got less of stage two and deep sleep.

We all know they are not great for your health but fried food is also troublesome for your sleep as well. Astudypublished by the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine talks about how high saturated fats are linked to lighter and less restful sleep.
