Pennsylvania resident Jerry Lynn thought he had a great idea when he wasn't sure where to drill a hole into his living room wall for a TV wire - tie a clock to a string, drop it down a second floor air vent and set the alarm for ten minutes. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned and the clock fell.
The alarm still went off and Jerry was able to tell where to put the hole, but then the next day the alarm went off again, and the day after that, and so on. He figured the batteries would die after a couple months, but it's still happening... 13 years later.
Jerry admitted he could've cut into the wall to get the clock but over the years, he and his wife have gotten used to the daily alarm, which goes off just before 8 p.m. EDT (7 p.m. EST). Visitors, however, sometimes get freaked out by the beeps.
