Chris Young brought his romantic ballad to life with a new visual that premiered on Friday (April 11), one week after the singer-songwriter debuted āTil The Last One Dies.ā
Young recently told iHeartCountry he was āoverdueā to release a āstraight-down-the-middleā love song as a single, pointing out itās been more than a decade since he delivered āWho I Am With Youā in 2013. āTil The Last One Diesā marks the beginning of the singer-songwriterās next chapter in his career with his milestone 10th studio album on the horizon.
āIt hit me on a winding road just how lucky I am/ Outta all the guys, only God knows why I get to be your man/ So I bought a dozen roses on my way to you tonight/ Eleven real ones, one fake one/ And Iāll love you ātil the last one diesā
Young said when he first noticed the wedding-worthy single was written by Ben Hayslip,Ā Seth Mosley, andĀ Jordan Walker, he knew, āāthis is gonna be good. Iām gonna be mad I wasnāt in the room for this.ā And I am. Iām jealous. ā¦Itās just a beautiful song.ā The end of the chorus āis just absolutely chefās kiss, gorgeous, beautiful way to say, āI love you.ā
āI donāt think those songs [like āTil The Last One Diesā] come along every day.ā
